    Alexis Tyrel is the alter ego of Gideon who has been releasing and running his own label lessismorecordings since 2003. Lessismore is played by major techno artists like, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Marco Carola, Technasia, Umek, Steve Rachmad, Robert Hood, Samuel L Session, Ben Sims and others. After years of playing techno and having played in venues like Bergain/Ostgut Berlin, Tresor Berlin, Flex Vienna, Arma 17 Moscow, One Madrid, Awakening Holland, Extrema Holland and more, and having released on legendary techno label Kanzleramt Berlin and Sino Hong Kong, Gideon decided in 2010 that it was time for a new chapter in life and in music, so he decided to pick up the alter ego Alexis Tyrel. In September 2010 he started working on his debut album for his Alexis Tyrel project which will be released in March/April 2011 on Lessismorecordings. Alexis Tyrel was born in Eindhoven the southern capital of Holland. Here he grew up with electronic devices around him as his parents tested Philips products. One of the products was a special record player where the needle would go on the records by pushing a button. So as a little boy at the age of 3 he was behind this record player, playing his parents records the whole day. In 1990 he was introduced to underground electronic music. This love made him decide to start buying records and start dj-ing, which he did in 1993. In 1995 he started fooling around with the tracker software and started "producing music" at which time he was only using samples as no hardware of vst's were available to him. This was a good learning experience. As he did not have the ability to make his own sound he focused on the sequencing aspect of making music. In 1996 he and his friends were organizing some unique parties near Eindhoven where they experimented with various styles like old skool, house, trance and techno. After this a period of local dj-ing followed. In 2002 he entered and won a music contest which qualified him to the national competition. He made it to the final, which gave him national exposure, followed by a resident position at Extrema one of Hollands leading events organizations. In the period of 2002 till 2006 he was dj-ing a lot in Holland playing almost at all major venues. In 2006 his music was picked up by labels like Sino Hong Kong, Kanzleramt Berlin and Weave Music, which created exposure abroad and resulted in playing at known international venues. On Weave Music Alexis Tyrel had his first big international seller with his track Rebecca Loos, which was inspired by the David Beckham affair with his personal assistant. The track with it's sweet minimalistic melodic sound displayed Rebecca Loos her side of the story. This track was immediately picked up and praised by Luciano and Steve Bug. As Alexis Tyrel comes from a techno background he loves to maintain a high pace in the mixing, creating a fast train through different sounds. The music he plays is pretty similar to his current productions. He combines old with the new and likes to use elements of different styles creating a melting pot. His sets contain housy grooves, progressive sounds and catchy vocals in a format that is highly danceable.
