    ASSMATIX ist eine Punkband aus Dortmund, haben aber NICHTS mit dem fast gleichklingenden Arschkult namens Ass Matrix zu tun!........... Gegründet wurde die Combo 2002 von 3 Knalltüten, die seit 28 Jahren in verschiedenen Dortmunder Punk,- und Hardcore Bands spielen (u.a. THE IDIOTS, RIM SHOUT). Der Name ist angelehnt an die Krankheit Asthma, da 2 Bandmitglieder daran leiden.......... Die Musik variiert zwischen 77er Punkrock, Hardcore und gelegentlichen metallischen Klängen. Die Texte bewegen sich auf teils persönlicher, teils politischer Ebene und entbehren manch komischer Situation.......... Erschienen sind bisher 3 Tonträger. Noch unter dem Namen DIE ASSMATIX 2002 die 6-Song CD "No time", und 2004 die 9-Song CD "Live fast, die old"............ Da Wir nach all diesen vergangenen Zeiten, der Musik immer noch den Vorzug vor dem Kegel-, oder Sparclub geben, erschien 2008 als dritter Silberling, die 10-Song-CD „Punk Rock Tradition", die (in alter Tradition) ebenfalls komplett in Eigenregie gemacht wurde.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... ASSMATIX is a punk band from Dortmund/Germany but has NOTHING to do with the ass-cult called Ass Matrix! The group was founded as "Die ASSMATIX" in 2002 by three wimps, each of them playing for over 28 years in different German punk and hardcore bands (such as THE IDIOTS, RIM SHOUT and more). The band's name derives from the chronic illness asthma, as two of the members are asthma sufferers. Their music is a mixture of 77 punk rock, early eightys brit-punk, hardcore and sometimes some metal influences. The lyrics vary between personal and political. Up to now two albums have been released: In 2002 (still as Die ASSMATIX) the 6 track CD "No Time" and in 2004 the 9 track CD "Live Fast, Die Old". The new album "As(s)ymetrical" appeared in the middle of 2008 and contains 10 own songs with some influences of the whole punkrock history. All this records were made completely by self-direction! Just Punkrock!

    MIKE ZERO spielt am kommenden Sonntag, den 16.5.10 im FZW auf der ROCKSTAGE - Bühne!
    Einlass ist schon um 16:30 und um 17:00 geht die erste Band auf die Bühne. Wir sind dann so gegen 19:30 dran.
    Würd mich freuen, wenn wir uns dort sehen und 6 Bands für 3 Euro, da kann man auch nicht meckern.

    The Bristles new album Reflections of the Bourgeois Society is out 21 MAY! 11 raw punk tracks from the class war and the worst capitalist crisis ever. Banks, yellow unions, employers and many more, all of them receives one's due.

    The Swedish band The Bristles reunited in 2008. The band has since then released records with their old stuff and one EP with new material, Union Bashing State in 2009. The band has also during this time toured around northern Europe several times.

    Say no to racism, fascism, sexism, homophobia and capitalism. Another world is possible.
