funkzelle, frankfurt, germany: gerd neusser and juergen rieger were starting their producer activities in 2000 as a part of the new born netaudioscene. gerd..s obsession is composing minimal beats and freaky soundscapes. juergen, who studied graphic-design in the early 90's is enthusiastic about creating smooth soundscapes, rhythmic beats and clicky noises. the result of putting together their different personalities is a wide range of sounds between minimal electronic, experimental ambient and moving melodies. "...watching the world in every situation, catching every single moment, from above and below...", they describe their sound. "audio needs to be a journey with many, many pictures in your head. empathy - everyone and everything has a story behind. and that is what we try to express in our sound concepts." for now eight years they have created music under several projects. starting as "sternenspringer" in 2001, with releases on german netlabel "tonatom". as "systemton" in 2003 with releases on spanish netlabel "inoquo". in 2007 they founded the independent "clear-cut-records" netlabel. music for minimal moments. they have created several releases, contributions added to many compilations and composing special remixes for friends. the brand new project born in 2007 is "funkzelle". deep house, progressive house. warm sounds, senses of pleasure full of esprit and easiness. www.funkzelle.net. www.clear-cut-records.com -
