Master Warbeast are an extreme metal band formed in Kidderminster, Worcestershire in 2006. The Warbeast is a staggering gargantuan of metallic sound and the band are its collective master. Like death rendered in thrash. Originally the band was formed by Andy and Karl in the effort to approximate grind such as Napalm Death, Brutal Truth and Nasum. The ‘General Faeces Processor’ EP was released shortly after the bands conception. The pair were in a band previously and decided to handle all instrumental duties. By the end of the year MWB wanted to gig and were bolstered by a new guitarist Dan, and a live drummer Ran replacing the programmed blasts. After a fruitless search for an appropriate bassist, Karl switched to bass. New material was written drawing many new influences from bands such as Soilent Green, Entombed and Kreator. Also songs now surpassed the two minute barrier. Numerous demo’s and gigs ensued throughout 2007 and early 2008. Andy decided to call it a day and in 2008 the band suffered a lengthy absence. Near the end of the year (and just before the band came to a natural conclusion) a new vocalist was found. Jim was already in numerous other bands but joined on a full time basis. Solid gigging throughout 2009 acuminated in ‘The Number Of The Warbeast’ being recorded. On this record more influences were thrown into the melting pot, creating a progressive original and extreme sound. From such humble crusty grind beginnings Master Warbeast today cannot be classified by sub genres or introverted scenes. As of 2010 Master Warbeast decided they were 'to far ahead of their time' and have called it a day.
