.. Settled in Hannover (Lower Saxony, Germany), ....the Kreonauts.... flocked together in autumn 2003. .. The name KREON refers to Sophokles' Antigone. King ....Kreon.... was a man of might who was personally fucked up by his own system of ruling Thebes. A very strange tragedy in blood. .. .. Our goal is to create exactly that kind of brutal but narrative Death Metal we love to listen to as fans. Our ideals are (amongst others) Morbid Angel, Immolation, Autopsy, Luciferion und some of the good old Stockholm Death fathers. Besides we're always longing for a unique, personal sound to occupy and hold our very own alcove in Death Metal. After releasing our first demo cd (Demo Spring 05) and recovering from kinda tsunami of enthused reviews we are glad to know we kicked in the right door! .. .. Many critics proofed the Kreonauts codec: .. No song shall sound like the other!.. They found it to be a simple truth. For the future this means we'll keep on avoiding redundancy and working hard to improve our skills. .... In february 2009 we released our first longplayer, namely IMPACT WINTER - a much more technical as well as epical grotesque child of sickness - via OBSCURE DOMAIN. Try it, it's brutal, fresh and strange. .. .. These days we are working hard on our next album named "When Tentacles Bloom", its recording will be started this year. Covering a playtime of about 60 min it will bring to you a blend of songs dealing with classic horror themes and hommages to gods like Lovecraft and Romero, traditionally mixed with good old psycho stuff from the lees of our hearts. .. .. Though critics concede us to run a unique sound, there are some names frequently mentioned by many of em, these are: .... Morbid Angel, Vader, Autopsy, Entombed ... .... Some critics came out to be surprised listening to a German band, mentioning Tampa, Florida would be a better place for the Kreonists Church. Not redundant to say that we are proud as hell of reminding listeners on those great godfathers of US Death Metal we hail and on the glorious Scandinavian Death days before Göteborg hype ... this is a great honor to us and we will work hard to make these early credits become legitimate one day. ....
