    Seri Vida and her band are like watching a young PJ Harvey with her legs wrapped around the collective faces of Queens of the Stone Age while she rocks them to sleep with tales of barbarous entanglements and other new world dilemmas. Snappy 90's Grrrl grunge with a heavy dose of hard rock to prop your beer on. Seri Vida's stage presence is part threatening ex lover, part petulant child and all late night grazed elbow alley scream along. Vida's band back her with finesse with a solid rhythm section consisting of Allan Murphy (Black Pony Express) and Nick Blanch (Single Men's Drinking Club). While Seri Vida holds the stage ransom with her stomping and howling Andrew Watson on lead guitar and psychotic violin twists himself into death throws as he trips around his peddles, and saws madly at his poor violin. This summer go hide yourself in a dark bar and treat yourself to a drink you think would look good on the guy/girl in front of you and let Seri Vida whip you into a black plaid stained state. C.J.W.

Bio:

Seri Vida has been singing and playing music since her childhood and has been involved in a number of different projects ranging from metal bands to funk and acoustic duets. She currently fronts the band The Pang and has worked with Plastic Palace Alice on the 'Liner Notes' show for the Melbourne Writers Festival. She has also performed at the Fringe Festival and the Emerging Writers Festival in recent years.
