Susanne van Zoelen-Lucker English Horn, Oboe

Bio:

Susanne van Zoelen-Lucker started her oboe studies at the Conservatory of Maastricht, and studied with Hans Roerade (principal oboist of the “Residentie” Orchestra), after which she was accepted to the Amsterdam Conservatory. Here she obtained her diploma after studying with Jan Spronk (principal oboist of the “Concertgebouw” Orchestra). In the same year she was accepted to the “Hochschule für Musik” in Cologne, Germany where she continued her studies with Prof. Christian Schneider, After that she studied at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin with Dominik Wollenweber (Solo English horn player of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra) aiming to especially develop her orchestra playing skills on English horn. Currently, she holds the post of oboe/english horn with the Beethoven Orchester Bonn. She was member of the Duisburger Philharmoniker, the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt. and she has performed regularly with the Düsseldorf Sinfoniker, and the WDR Symphonic Orchestra of Cologne. In the past, she has been associated to the “Nationaal Jeugd Orkest”, and the “Schleswig Holstein Festival Orchester” (Kiel, Germany). She is member of the Beethoven Bläser Ensemble and the „Spectrum Duo“ with Andreas van Zoelen on Bass Saxophone
