.. .......... ..Toxic Twin / Sven Brede, gebürtiger Berliner, verfolgt das Nachtleben und die Clubkultur seit 1993 als professioneller Deejay. Seine regelmäßigen Sets in Berlin sind für viele schon zur Pflichtveranstaltung geworden. Dennoch sind seine Aktivitäten nicht nur auf das Plattendrehen beschränkt; die meiste Zeit verbringt er wohl mit Produktionen für diverse renomierte Labels in seinem Studio. So arbeitete er von 1996 bis 2001 in einem Berliner Musikverlag, wo er Künstler wie Dj I.C.O.N. zum Erfolg führte. Als er jedoch seine Arbeit dort aufgab um neue Seiten der Musik zu erforschen, kam der Kontakt zu Tom Clark zustande. Die folge dessen sind Produktionen auf Clark’s Label Highgrade. Aber auch auf anderen Labels released Sven Brede unter den verschiedensten Projekten. So gab es auch ein gute Resonanz auf das Projekt Telemen, dass er mit seinem Bruder, Danyell Künzel und Metapunk ins Leben rief. Aufgeschlossen jeder Art von clubtauglicher Musik programmiert er techno- und Housegrooves gleichermaßen gut mit hohem Niveau und Anspruch. Sven..s Style ist als Deejay sowie als Produzent gleichermaßen fortschrittlich wie auch traditionell. Das Gegenspiel zwischen Angriff und Rückzug beherrscht der „giftige Zwilling“ wie wenig andere. Mit Inspirationen aus Skandinavien, Köln und anderen großen Städten der Technokultur mischt er seinen ganz eigenen Style ohne Scheuklappen aufzusetzen. Seine langjährige Erfahrung und sein regelmäßiges Output machen ihn zu einem der ganz besonderen Acts. .. .. .. .. .. .. Toxic Twin aka Sven Brede, Berlin born and raised, is taking part in nightlife and clubculture as a professional DJ ever since ’93. his regular appearances in Berlin have somewhat become classic for many. However, his activities are not limited to spinning in every club of the city – he actually spends most of his time producing for several well-known labels. From ’96 to ‘01 he used to work for a Berlin-based music agency, leading artisit such as DJ I.C.O.N. on their road to success. When leaving the agency, he met Tom Clark, which lead to several infamous productions for Clark’s label highgrade, while still releasing track on track on numerous other labels. Critically especially acclaimed was 2002’s project TELEMEN, including his brother Lars Brede aka Stashrider, singer Danyell and lyrical Meta Mallorca, featuring a LP release and four singles on Multicolor. Very open to every kind of club-music he is into programming high-class house and techno grooves that easily meet any kind of standard. Sven’s style both as DJ and producer is often considered old- and new-school at the same time, blending both traditional and progressive elements of electronic music. The ‘poison twin’ is virtously playing his cards between attack and retreat, between kick and cool, soaking up music and looking for inspiration from scandinavia to africa.
