The band exists since the year 2000. At that time, the repertoire was widespread and contained film music and german swing music from the 20ies, but it's performance didn't completely satisfy the musicians Reiner Kuttenberger (cl, sax), David Ignatius (vl) and Jan Bertram (p)... In 2003, there was a change of name. Since then the group is called "Zizal" and plays own compositions and some klezmer tunes, also klezmer-like compositions of other composers. .. .. Zizal gehören der Klarinettist Reiner Kuttenberger, der Geiger David Ignatius und der Klavierspieler Jan Bertram an... Die Namensänderung war einem Richtungswechsel geschuldet: Das Repertoire der Gruppe war am Anfang bestimmt von Schlagern und Filmmusik der 20er Jahre, heute bestimmen Klezmer- und Jazzeinflüße den Stil der (meist von den Bandmitgliedern selbst geschriebenen) Kompositionen. .. ..
