Vitruvius

Bio:

At the end of 2006 Oskar Villarreal (guitar) and Tonio Tejeda, met Armando "Bjorn" Thamez (bass) when an old friend (Uriel Salinas) wanted to reunite members for a band called Erógena which Oskar and Tonio were part of back in 2003. Armando was very interested in this project. They started auditioning singers and Dulce Robles was selected from a group of excellent singers.

Immediately they started composing some music and basic structures for the songs at Oskar’s home studio. By the end of March 2007, Dulce started writing lyrics for the songs, including all the ideas the band had.

Erógena was left behind and Vitruvius was born.

During that year, the band composed most of the material and, when the songs were ready to be played on stage, they started accepting invitations to play in small local festivals, in places such as the Dada-X, a famous rock bar near to the Zócalo in Mexico City. Vitruvius recorded their first album during 2008 and 2009. Lucas Espinoza (keyboard) colaborated in the song Somewhere.

A finales del 2006, Oskar Villareal (guitarra) y Toño Tejeda conocieron a Armando "Bjorn" Thamez (bajo) cuando un viejo amigo (Uriel Salinas) quiso reunir gente para formar parte de una banda llamada Erógena, de la cual Oskar y Toño fueron miembros en el 2003. Armando se interesó bastante en el proyecto y comenzaron a audicionar cantantes. Dulce Robles fue elegida de entre un grupo de excelentes vocalistas.

Inmediatamente todos empezaron a componer algo de música y estructuras básicas para las canciones en el estudio en casa de Oskar. A finales de marzo del 2007, Dulce empezó a escribir letras para las canciones, incluyendo todas las ideas que tenía la banda.

Erógena quedó atrás y nació Vitruvius.

Durante ese año, la banda compuso la mayor parte del material musical y cuando las canciones estuvieron listas para ser tocadas en vivo, empezaron a aceptar invitaciones para tocar en pequeños festivales locales y en lugares como el Dada-X, un famoso bar de rock cerca del Zócalo en la Ciudad de Mexico. Vitruvius grabo su primer disco en 2008 y 2009. Lucas Espinoza (teclado) colaboro en la cancion Somewhere.
