Der 1965 geborene Jazzpianist Joe Dinkelbach begann bereits mit 7 Jahren Klavier zu spielen. Nach zunächst klassischem Unterricht entdeckte er bald seine Liebe zum Jazz und nahm Unterricht bei dem Braunschweiger Pianisten Otto Wolters. Das Studium am Hilversums Conservatorium in Holland und der Unterricht bei Henk Elkerbout und Rob Madna vertieften seine Fähigkeiten am Klavier, es enstanden CDs mit dem Saxophonisten Allard Buwalda, Saxion5, NEA, Jörg Seidel, Inga Rumpf, Frank Fiedler usw..
Joe Dinkelbach spielte in verschiedenen internationalen Besetzungen unter anderem mit John Aebercrombie, Dave Liebman, Allan Harris, Uli Beckerhoff, Bill Ramsey, Inga Rumpf, Roger Cicero, NDR Bigband, Charlie Mariano...
Joe komponiert seit 2003 Filmmusik für Produktionen des NDR, BR, ARD, ARTE und National Geographic. Seine Arbeit für „ The Meadow“ erhielt 2007 auf der IWFF in Missoula, Montana den Preis für „ Best Music“ und den „ Meriot Award Music“.
